In the present section those bacterial diseases which biological products «AgroBioStim» influence are specified only.

 

BACTERIAL DISEASES OF PLANTS

 

The most widespread infectious diseases caused by phytopathogenic bacteria. Disease is shown in large quantities and puts heavy losses at cultivation of crops. Pathogenic bacteria attack all organs of plants. The plants amazed with bacterial diseases, wither and dry up (Bacterial drying and the Bacterial wilt of plants).

Bacterial diseases are extended mainly in areas with a warm and damp climate. Phytopathogenic bacteria of family Pseudomonaceae, stem Pseudomonas (bacilluses with polar tags) and stems Xanthomonas (bacilluses with polar tags of yellow colour) prevail. Other phytopathogenic bacteria of family Corynebacteriaceae (the curve or doubled bacilluses, motionless), families Enterobacteriaceae (mobile curve bacilluses). Phytopathogenic bacteria of family Bacillaceae form disputes etc.

 

There is a various classification of bacterial diseases. Phytopathogenic bacteria remain in soil, plant residues, in a root system of plants, in seeds etc.

BACTERIOSIS

SYMPTOMS AND DISEASE SOURCES:

Bacteriosis of grain of corn. On grain in the top half of head of cabbage (in dairy or wax ripeness) there are profound grey, and then and the brown stains which reason is bacterium Bacillus pumilus. This bacterium causes rotting of a potato, a clap and pumpkin cultures.

 

Basal wheat and barley bacteriosis. Disease is extended everywhere. At planting of the infected seeds the part of plants does not sprout, on the ascended plants appear red-brown rotting. If the plant survives that lags behind in growth and development. On leaves there are small, ellipse stains of yellow colour. On a stalk stains of brown colour are formed. In maturing of grain disease gets into grain. Grain remains underdeveloped with stains in germinating to a part.

Cause of illness is bacterium Pseudomonas atrofaciens which is transferred with seeds. Cool and damp weather disease developments help. Optimum temperature for bacterium development nearby 24-28оС.

Disease can develop as rotting, a spot or a burn. Bacterial rotting destroys cages of plants which turn to shapeless liquid mass. Juicy tissues of plants suffer from rotting: root crops, tubers, bulbs, fruits, fleshy leaves (Bacterial rotting of plants).

The spot develops at change of colour of tissues at plants. At first stains become fat, light green or dark green, later light brown or dark brown (Bacterial spot). At fast growth and draining of stains, dimnesses of tissues and  destruction of the whole organs at plants, disease is called a burn (the Bacterial burn of plants).

Bacterial diseases at which there are new growths in the form of a tumour (the Bacterial cancer of plants) have especial character.

Oats bacteriosis (bacterial burn). It is shown in two forms. In the first form there are red-brown ellipse stains with the light centre and brown lines basically on leaves, in the second – translucent tapes located along leaves, a stalk etc. the Reason is bacterium Pseudomonas coronofaciens, dispute is not present. Optimum temperature for bacterium development nearby 22оС, cool and a wet weather. An incubation period of 2-5 days. The infection remains in seeds.

  • Cabbage bacteriosis - Xanthomonas campestrim.
  • Salad bacteriosis (bacterial burn) - Xanthomonas vitians.
  • Wild strawberry bacteriosis - Xanthomonas fragariae.
  • Walnut bacteriosis (bacterial burn) - Xanthomonas juglandis.

BASAL WHEAT BACTERIOSIS.

 

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv atrofaciens. The bacterium develops at temperature 2-37оС, and perishes at temperature 48-49оС. The bacterium is transferred through seeds, and then and to other organs.

SYMPTOMS. Disease amazes all organs of a plant in development. Disease symptoms share on three groups: root and calescent rotting; a mottled leaf, a stalk and an ear; ear deformation, sterility of an ear and formation of mouldering grain. First of all disease is shown on young plants. Plant roots get brown colour and partially or completely perish. Further the stalk becomes covered by stains which can extend on all plant and cause destruction of a plant. On leaves there are watery stains which expand, turn yellow and dry up. The ear grows deformed, thin and poorly developed. Disease develops in time of cool and damp weather in ear formation. Except wheat disease amazes a rye, and is weaker – barley and oats.

STRUGGLE METHODS. Agrotechnical methods. Cultivation of resistant breeds. A presowing cultivation of seeds preparations together with the Natural stimulator "CEREAL". CLAP BACTERIOSIS.

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Xanthomonas campestris pv malvacearum which develops at temperature 25-30оС. The bacterium is sensitive to solar rays and gets into plants through stomas and wounds. Develops between plant cages, destroys them and forms plots with a bacterial liquid which follows light yellow drops. An incubation period 4 days at temperature 30-35оС.

SYMPTOMS. Very dangerous disease. The most widespread disease of a clap, loss often make to 30 % and more. Disease is shown with not sprouted seeds,

destruction of branches, watery stains on leaves, boxes and a plant. A trunk and sprigs of plants become covered by brown stains. Productivity decreases and quality of a fibre worsens. There are highly resistant and immune breeds of a clap.

HEMP BACTERIOSIS.

 

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Pseudomonas cannabina. The bacterium remains in seeds and the rests of plants. Mass development occurs during cool and damp time.

SYMPTOMS. After crop of sick seeds, on young plants rotting, and then and destruction of a plant develops. The bacterium forms small watery or red-brown stains on leaves. On a stalk there are oblong stains of light green colour. Later on a stalk there are swellings and shells. Under favourable conditions all organs, inclusive both a seed vessel and seeds become covered by stains.

PEAS BACTERIOSIS.

 

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv pisi. Optimum conditions for disease development are created at frequent deposits, presence of dew and air temperature 25-28оС. The infection remains in seeds and plant residues. Plants catch through stomas, wounds and through seeds. In natural conditions disease is transferred through insects.

SYMPTOMS. At crop of the infected seeds the part of plants does not sprout, and on evolved plants there are watery-green stains, and later and chestnut-rusty stains. On all elevated organs of a plant there are watery stains which then become light green or brown. Gradually the infection passes to peas seeds, on them there are watery-green stains. From the amazed tissues the bacterial liquid is secreted. Except peas disease amazes also other bean cultures.

SOYA BACTERIOSIS.

 

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv glycinea. Develops in warm and rainy time. Optimum temperature nearby 25оС. Remains in plant residues and seeds.

SYMPTOMS. One of the most dangerous diseases of a soya. Disease develops in the period of all vegetation and amazes all organs of a plant. It is shown as light brown and dark brown stains on all elevated organs. At defeat of vegetative top, young plants perish. At strong development of disease, damage merge and cover the most part of the area of a plant owing to which there are burns and a premature defoliation. On fruits defeats in a kind of watery-green or dark brown stains are shown. Seeds become deformed and are covered by brown stains.

STRUGGLE METHODS. Agrotechnical methods. A presowing cultivation of seeds preparations together with the Natural stimulator "START". At display of disease and in a phase of development 3-4 sheet, plants to process the Natural microfertilizer «CUPRIC HUMATE» or «ZINC HUMATE» in a dose of 0,6-0,8 l/hectares or 0,06% a solution. CABBAGE BACTERIOSIS.

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Xanthomonas campestrim. The bacterium remains in seeds till 3 years and in plant residues. Extends through insects and through irrigation water. Disease develops at temperature 5-39оС and an atmospheric humidity about 50%.

SYMPTOMS. Disease extends everywhere and attacks all kinds of cabbage, especially on green-head and a cauliflower. At planting of the infected seeds the most part of plants does not sprout, and the ascended plants perish. In other cases, the growing point grows white also

vegetative top dies off. The infected plants are ill, do not form a head and sometimes perish. At a cross-section on leaves and a stalk the bacterial liquid is observed. On leaves there are stains chlorosis, and on colours wet rotting.

SALAD BACTERIOSIS.

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Xanthomonas campestris pv vitians. Disease develops at temperature 0-35оС, and optimum temperature nearby 26оС. The bacterium remains in soil. Attacks the weakened plants. Disease develops in cool and damp time.

SYMPTOMS. Disease attacks all green plant parts. Plants are amazed chlorosis. Stains at first appear at the sheet basis, and then there comes stalk and root system rotting. On leaves there are wet stains and then and light brown stains. In due course stains cover all surface of sheet and there are burns.

WILD STRAWBERRY BACTERIOSIS.

 

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Xanthomonas fragariae. The bacterium remains in the fallen down leaves, whence there is a primary infection. In large quantities develops at temperature 20оС and moisture presence.

SYMPTOMS. On leaves watery-grey stains which are extended and become angular are formed at first. After a stain become brown and become covered necrosis. Stains are observed on veins, colour organs and is very rare on fruits.

At display of disease of a plant to process the Natural microfertilizer «COPPER HUMATE» in a dose of 1-1,5 l/hectares or 0,1% a solution. A foliar top dressing of plants fertilizers «AgroBioStim» on 70% protects plants from disease.

 

WALNUT BACTERIOSIS.

DISEASE SOURCE. The reason is bacterium Xanthomonas juglandis. The bacterium winters in tendrils, in branches and kidneys. In the spring in the infected tissues the bacterial liquid is formed. In a flowering time the ovary and other organs catches. Favourable conditions for disease development cool and damp time in a walnut flowering time. Optimum temperature for bacterium development nearby 21-32оС. The Incubation period about 3 weeks.

SYMPTOMS. On leaves exists two forms of disease – flowing a necrosis and a local spot. Flowing a necrosis it is shown on young leaves, in the form of dimness of the

main thing and lateral nerves. Then leaves are deformed and dry up. Through a leg of sheet the bacterium can get into a branch of a tree which withers and dries up. The local form of disease is shown on old leaves in a kind little, dark brown stains with a light aura round stains. Young branches darken and dry up, and on old branches the black, fat, extended stains are formed. The ovary and green walnuts darken and perish. A necrosis can amaze only a green cover of a fruit or get in inside walnut.

At disease display to make processing of trees of 0,025% by a solution of the Natural microfertilizer «CUPRIC HUMATE» in a phase of flowering and in 15 days after flowering.
