MAGNESIUM
REQUIREMENT OF PLANTS IN MAGNESIUM.
Magnesium as the nutritious element participates, first of all, in chlorophyll creation, and through it and in the course of assimilation of carbohydrates. Magnesium plays the important role in an exchange of carbohydrates, facilitates formation and disintegration of glucose and phosphoric acid. At deficiency of magnesium in a nutrient medium the content of inert sugar in vegetables considerably decreases. Magnesium plays the important role in synthesis of fats, an ascorbic acid etc.
Magnesium shows regulating action at mastering of nutritious elements and waters through a root system. The especial role is attributed to magnesium in mastering and transportation of phosphates in plants.REQUIREMENT OF SEPARATE CULTURES IN MAGNESIUM.
Separate kinds of crops have various requirements for magnesium. The bean, an onions, turnip, grain crops consume magnesium – about 10-15 kg/hectare less. The potato consumes magnesium about 20-30 kg/hectare, a sugar and red beet – about 40-50 kg/hectare, cucumbers – about 50-60 kg/hectare, and tomatoes – about 60-80 kg/hectare. From fruit-trees the greatest requirement for magnesium the apple-tree and a mazzard cherry, and as test citrus fruit crops.
SOIL AS THE SOURCE OF MAGNESIUM FOR PLANTS.
Magnesium total in superficial horizons of the Bulgarian soils in borders of 0,1-10%. The greatest quantities of magnesium is in typical and wash out loamy soils in area Karnobada, and as wash out chernozems, where the magnesium content in soil about 6-10%. The chernozems formed on clay and grey-wood soils contain magnesium about 1,0-2,5%.
In dependence on solubility and availability to plants magnesium connections containing in soil can be divided into following groups: primary and secondary soil minerals with the magnesium content, difficultly soluble carbonates, phosphates and silicates, complex connections of magnesium with organic substances, exchange magnesium, water-soluble magnesium salts – nitrates, chlorides and sulphates.
The lowest content of magnesium in yellow-podsolic, sandy and alluvial-meadow soils, where the content of magnesium about 0,1-0,5%.
At cultivation of crops on soils with the low content alible magnesium required the foliar top dressing the Natural microfertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE» in a dose of 0,6-0,8 l/hectares.
The foliar top dressing a microfertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE» is obligatory at cultivation of crops sensitive to magnesium: a potato, a beet, tomatoes and cucumbers, apple-trees and a mazzard cherry.Deficiency of magnesium in soil can increase at carrying out of following agrotechnical measures:
In this case deficiency of magnesium can be reduced through a soil cultivation of 0,01-0,03 % a solution of the Natural microfertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE».
VISUAL SIGNS IN PLANTS AND DISEASES CAUSED BY DEFICIENCY OF MAGNESIUM.
Consequences at deficiency of magnesium in a nutrient medium are expressed, first of all, in confusion at chlorophyll formation. At magnesium deficiency there is a non-uniform distribution of chlorophyll on a sheet surface; its greatest quantity is going in sheet veins. Leaves of plants become covered original chlorosis and become motley. At strong deficiency of magnesium on a yellow surface of sheet there are small green stains.
From field cultures magnesium deficiency is shown on corn, a potato, a sugar beet, lucerne and flax.
Symptoms of magnesium deficiency at fruit-trees can be united in three groups: change of colour of leaves (a chlorosis or a cyanosis), a necrosis of leaves and a premature defoliation of leaves. Depending on a kind of fruit-trees, by degree of supply by nutrients one can be shown either other symptom or their combination. The pear chlorosis is not amazed, and develops a necrosis in an average part of sheet in the form of red-brown intervals and stains. The amazed leaves fall down. Disease symptoms appear later, than at an apple-tree.
At magnesium deficiency of moulding of a mazzard cherry are painted in a reddish shade and on periphery or is closer to the middle appear necrosis stains. Then leaves completely turn yellow and prematurely fall down.
At chlorosis plum passes in a necrosis which signs appear in the beginning by a peripheral part of sheet.European black currant leaves are painted in intensive red colour, and edges twist to the bottom surface of sheet.
At wild strawberry symptoms of magnesium deficiency the diverse: can appear a chlorosis on a sheet edge, and it is possible that peripheral or average parts of sheet are painted in yellow or red colour.
The lack and deficiency of magnesium causes following important diseases of plants:
Magnesium receipt in plants is at a loss at sour reaction of a soil solution and at high concentration natrium, potassium and aluminium ions in a soil solution. It is established, that cultivation of cultures under irrigation conditions and during the damp periods deficiency of magnesium can increase, than in dry seasons. On soils which with a low or moderate stock of mobile magnesium the foliar top dressing fertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE» is obligatory.
MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY AT CULTIVATION OF TOMATOES.
SYMPTOMS: Along the edges of old leaves appears a chlorosis. The sheet area remains green, and between veins there are yellow stains. Gradually, from the basis to top the plant turns yellow. Young leaves are braided, become fragile and dry up.
THE DEFEAT REASON: Cultivation of tomatoes on lungs, sandy, poor soils with the high content of a potassium. High doses of nitric fertilizer.
PROPHYLAXIS: Cultivation of tomatoes on rich soils. Unroot processing of plants by fertilizer «MAGNESIUM
HUMATE» in a dose of 0,6-0,8 l/hectares or 0,06 % a solution. A foliar top dressing of plants fertilizers «AgroBioStim».
MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY AT CULTIVATION OF CUCUMBERS.
SYMPTOMS: On old leaves there are yellow stains, gradually leaves completely turn yellow. The central vein on leaves remains green while other area of sheet turns yellow. Young leaves are braided, become fragile and dry up.
THE DEFEAT REASON: Cultivation of cucumbers on lungs, sandy, poor soils. High doses of nitric fertilizer.
PROPHYLAXIS: Unroot processing of plants by fertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE» in a dose of 0,6-0,8 l/hectares or 0,06 % a solution. A foliar top dressing of plants fertilizers «AgroBioStim».
MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY AT POTATO CULTIVATION.
SYMPTOMS: Leaves get a light green or yellowish shade. Later the sheet tissue between veins darkens and fuses. All plant sometimes dries up.
THE DEFEAT REASON: Deficiency of magnesium in lungs, sandy and poor soils.
PROPHYLAXIS: the Choice of rich soils at potato cultivation. Processing of lungs and sandy soils biopaste «FERTILITY». Unroot processing of plants by fertilizer «MAGNESIUM HUMATE» in a dose of 0,8 l/hectares or 0,08 % a solution. A foliar top dressing of plants fertilizers «AgroBioStim».
